Overview #
Student records, events, volunteers, guardians, financials, ensembles, instruments, props, attire, music, studio recordings … the CutTime platform keeps a great deal of Dixie Bands and DHHS Band Boosters information under one umbrella.
How to CutTime #
Users who are new to CutTime should follow the link below and check out the short-and-sweet how-to videos. There are several short vids, each just a couple minutes. Best part is you don’t have to watch them all. They’re segmented into specific parts of CutTime, so you can cherry-pick the one(s) pertaining to your specific area of involvement and skip the rest.

Importing members, guardians #
As of 5/5/2024, the import tool in CutTime is pretty basic — by which I mean it can’t do a whole lot. Duplicate members are only flagged when a new member record contains a Student ID value matching that of an existing member record.
We’re still fairly new to CutTime’s “Next Gen” (NG) platform, and that platform is still fairly new period. We’ve been told custom fields should appear in coming months, and no idea yet when if ever the platform will be able to merge contacts using a de-duping tool.
Removing one duplicated member account is tedious. Removing dozens of duplicated member accounts is torture.
For this reason, anyone bulk-importing members to CutTime NG must remove existing/returning members in the data editor (e.g. Excel or Sheets) prior to exporting a CSV for import to CutTime.
