Dixie Heights High School, located in Edgewood, KY serves a diverse group of Kenton County School District students. The award-winning Band Program, under the direction of Sarah Shamblin, challenges students to work hard and work together to achieve success. The program encompasses the Marching Band and Color Guard, the Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble, Pep Band, and Jazz Band, Indoor Percussion, and Winter Guard.
The crowd-favorite Marching Band routinely wins competitions, and numerous students are chosen for Regional Honor Bands, Kentucky All-State Band and Orchestra, and the Kentucky Governor’s School for the Arts. The Band Program collaborates with Turkeyfoot Middle School Bands, along with bands across Northern Kentucky. Dixie Height’s Concert Bands regularly earn top honors at KMEA Assessments.
The DHHS Band Boosters rely on fundraising to make the program accessible to all and ensure the best program and experience for our students and the entire Dixie Heights Community. We hope you or your business will consider sponsoring the DHHS Band Program for the 2026-2027 school year. Music education is a cornerstone to learning and a prime way of improving overall test scores. Band Programs are also expensive and only a small portion of the expense is covered by Student Fees. To keep Band affordable for all and still have a successful program, we need financial help from our community. We hope your business will help us reach our Fundraising goals by sponsoring the DHHS Band Program.
