Pancake Breakfast with Santa Fundraiser - This is scheduled for Saturday December 20 from 8am until 12 noon. Anyone wanting to help with this fundraiser will be greatly appreciated. I have several adults that have agreed to help and I also need students who would like to help. They will be Elves helping Santa, servers, and cleanup crew. The cost of the breakfast will $5 if they purchase tickets in advance. You are welcome to sell tickets to anyone you find would like to come. If people do not want to pre-order tickets the cost will be $6 at the door. Our breakfast will consist of Pancakes, Sausage links, Orange Juice, and Coffee. Children will have the opportunity to see Santa, sit on his lap and give them their wish list, and I believe receive a small gift from Santa before leaving (Something from Oriental Trading). I would also like to set up a a couple craft tables for the children to make something and possibly do face painting. These will be for a small fee - ($0.25 or so) Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Please e-mail me back to let me know if you would be available to help at all. Winterguard News! - We are pleased to announce that we have hired a new Winter Guard instructor for the upcoming season.   Her name is Alicia Collier and she is very excited about coming to Dixie!  Winterguard Auditions begin this week.

Thursday – December 4th   4:30pm to 7:30pm    Band Room 

Monday – December 8th    5pm to 7:30pm   Band Room

Tuesday – December 9th    5pm to 7:30pm   Band Room

Regular Rehearsals then begin on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6pm to 9pm on Tuesday December 9th.  Please wear comfortable clothing to auditions...no jeans.

TRISTATE CIRCUIT Presents Spin! Dance! Toss! - with Pride of Cincinnati.  This is an optional Hands-On Clinic offering instruction in both movement/dance and all three pieces of equipment (flag, rifle, sabre), based on level of experience. Clinicians are experienced instructors and performers from Pride of Cincinnati. Where: Conner HS  3310 Cougar Path Hebron, KY.  When: Saturday December 6th.  Time: 9:00 to 4:00 PM.  Cost $10 per person.  Students need to provide their own equipment. Dinner concessions are available.

Please take a moment and go to this link, register, download the toolbar and Dixie Band is already listed as your dedicated charity. After doing so, anytime you go online and visit any store affiliated with the IGive program, whether you purchase anything or not, the band will receive money. This is a free fundraiser that will hopefully make us money without any work involved. Also, if you shop at any of the stores, they will also give us a percentage of your purchase. There is no extra fee added to your purchase, you only buy items at the price the establishment is selling them to everyone else. With Christmas coming soon, this is a great time to be buying gifts and hopefully a great time for the band to make some "FREE" money.  You may send this message to anyone you know and request that they also help us out. It doesn't cost anything and it only takes a couple minutes of your time. After that, you never have to worry about it. Everytime you visit a site that is a part of the program, it automatically puts you through the IGive program as long as you have just downloaded the toolbar. Also, the program is not connected to any ONE credit card number. It is connected to your e-mail, so you can pay anyway you prefer.
